Violin Recital 12/12/17
Alexander’s first violin recital was yesterday afternoon! Because the recital was scheduled so close to the start of the year, the beginners have had only a few lessons, and have not even been allowed to play real violins yet. So they performed as a group their favorite bowing exercise: “Up like a rocket, down like the rain, back and forth like a choo-choo train; Around and around like a great big sun, land on your hand: curved pinkie, bent thumb!” We are looking forward to Alexander’s lesson tonight, at which he will finally be allowed to start playing a real violin! Below there are also a few pictures of the “Elephant-and-Piggy” marathon that Alexander organized last Saturday night.
